Lise Thogersen, Architect is an Oakland, CA native who gravitated toward the built environment at an early age. It is still the filter with which she measures and evaluates space, surface, light, and purpose. After spending her no-responsibility years in Denmark, Vietnam and Santa Cruz, Lise finally settled down into the Master of Architecture program at UC Berkeley in 2001 focusing on sustainability, planning issues, and increasing function through design. Today, Lise demands that light and volumes dictate her designs followed by an eclectic and clean sensibility that comes from her Scandinavian heritage as well as the Bay Traditions she grew up around.
